Inställd övernattning, gatustrider och livemusik (via Rapporter till förbundet)

EN svensk i aten som bloggat om syntagma demonstrationen. En sansad och mycket mer korrekt bild av hur demonstrationerna pågick i förrgår… Jämfört med medias rapportering.

Låt mig också påpeka att det inte pågår något öppen krig som gör landet farligt. Även om det kan se så ut i media. Majoriteten av Aten, är lungt och sansat. Det är bara just torget framför parlamentet och de närliggande gatorna som drabbas. Samt lite det alternativa området i närheten, Eksarxia.

Det mesta har blivit försenat under kvällen. Tanken var att Faraj, Niklas , Evert och jag skulle sova på en av båtarna inatt, som ett led i att öka säkerheten efter måndagens sabotage. Båten är nu åter uppe på land och skadorna har dokumenterats for allmän beskådan. De tros ha uppkommit genom att dykare under vattnet fäst ett stag mellan de båda proppelleraxlarna. I will reblog this article from a greek internet paper (“Το ποντίκι”) and the blogger “αἰέν ἀριστεύειν”… because it’s worth it. It was published early this morning…

Explanations:

Syntagma… some loose thoughts and rambling…

Sadness and helplessness fills my soul today… The Greek parliament is voting for the new austerity measures. I wish I was there… having been there only the first day of the movement of the “αγανακτισμένοι” really isn’t enough.

People are trying to demonstrate… The police are closing in the parliament in an iron cocoon. Iron fences and rows upon rows of riot police. Tear-gas is flowing upon the people. It’s almost like a was zone… like the latest dictature has already been established, but instead of the army they use the police.

And when I opened the live streaming from the demonstration, the slogans I hear being yelled by the handful of people that’s on the top of the syntagma square are the same 3 words being repeated over and over during the time of the dictature.

“Ψωμί, παιδία, ελευθερία” = ”Food, education, freedom”
